As a result of the increasingly prominent trends in the transport market to constantly seek solutions to reduce transportation costs per km, TH Trucks decided to invest in a top-quality retread tire factory.
Because Bridgestone is one of the strategic partners of TH Tires, the commercial vehicle tire sales division of TH Trucks, we chose the Bandag solution. Bandag is a world leader in cold retreading and part of the Bridgestone Corporation group of companies.
The investment was also driven by our social and environmental responsibilities. In short, TH Trucks is fully committed to its commitments to environmental protection and social responsibility.
For over 50 years, Bandag distributors have been the global leader in the manufacture of high-quality retreaded tires. Bandag supports its distributors with an exclusive range of equipment, technical expertise and in-depth training seminars on the Bandag retreading process.
Bandag's extensive product range includes high-performance products for any application, in any geographical area. Bandag designs products with the aim of providing the lowest cost per kilometre for the vehicle fleet.
Bandag’s unique and advanced cold retreading technology uses less energy to produce a product with a wear performance similar to that of a new tire. The plant exclusively uses Bandag’s cold retreading process for all tire sizes and all commercial vehicles over 3.5 tons. In the first year, 4,000 tires are expected to be retreaded, with the plant’s maximum capacity being 16,000 units per year. Depending on market demand, production capacity can be increased, provided that export opportunities arise.
