Fluid Driven
The DAF Electric program includes a complete range of highly efficient central drive systems. From the 120 to 190 kW direct-drive electric motors of the XB Electric, to the powerful 170 to 350 kW electric motors with automatic transmission systems for the XD and XF Electric series. The gearshift technology, using two electric motors to smooth out torque differences when changing gears, enables smooth shifting and makes driving these electric trucks feel like an experience of the future.
Adaptive Capacity
To meet all your needs, the DAF Electric series can be configured with a variety of battery packs and different configurations. You can install more battery packs for increased energy capacity (141 to 525 kWh) and extended range for long-distance transport. It is also possible to install fewer battery packs to create free space on one side for a specific body type, such as a side loader. As an early adopter of LFP technology, DAF has opted for the safest, most durable and sustainable battery technology: with a high cycle life, without the use of rare materials.
Efficiency and Autonomy
When we talk about electric trucks, we have to talk about efficiency and range. Thanks to the modular configuration of the DAF Electric trucks, there are plenty of options when it comes to energy storage. The range depends on the configuration, application, driving style and many other factors, such as the use of auxiliary equipment. The average energy consumption for the most typical situations varies between 0.7 and 1.2 kWh/km. Our XB Electric model can reach up to 350 km, while the XD and XF models can even reach up to 500 kilometers on a single charge.

FAST CHARGING
The key to optimal uptime is to recharge your energy as quickly and efficiently as possible. There are multiple ways to achieve this. DAF Electric vehicles are equipped with industry-standard CCS2 charging sockets to facilitate fast charging. We also offer an AC charging solution (22 kW) and fast charging options ranging from 150 to 325 kW. Charging up to 80% can be achieved in 45 minutes, allowing you to be on the road for as long as possible! As a complete mobility provider, DAF can facilitate the creation of a suitable charging infrastructure with the help of our PACCAR chargers.
Smart Planning
The DAF Electric truck charges in the most efficient way, depending on the driver's needs. Just tell it how far you need to drive after charging and when you want to start driving again, and it will make sure it is charged on time, while monitoring the health of the battery. Of course, it will also make sure that the cabin is conditioned and comfortable when you want to leave.
