Pure excellence
Inspired by our DAF philosophy of transport efficiency, we have introduced a number of innovations in the LF series to take distribution transport to a new level of excellence. These include a wide range of transmission improvements, a luxurious new interior, a stunning new exterior design, a sophisticated instrument panel and improved driver visibility.
High-quality exterior design
The LF's stunning new exterior design gives it a strong and friendly look, making the truck a great image for your business. The new roof and fender air deflectors improve aerodynamics and reduce fuel consumption by up to 4%.
The new peephole door is a major new feature of the new LF series. Particularly in urban distribution transport, it improves safety by giving drivers better visibility of pedestrians and cyclists near the cab. The window on the co-driver's side is electronically controlled from the driver's side and slides open.

The dashboard is attractive and well-equipped, offering maximum ease of use.

Modern safety systems
The new LF includes the latest comfort and safety systems as standard. These include an electronic braking system and adaptive cruise control (ACC), which automatically adjusts the truck’s speed to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front. The ACC system includes forward collision warning and an advanced emergency braking system. These systems alert the driver if there is a risk of collision and automatically reduce the vehicle’s speed in an emergency. The lane departure warning system** alerts the driver if the truck starts to unintentionally deviate from its lane.
Powerful engines
The new LF offers a wide range of engines. These include the powerful 4.5-litre PACCAR PX-5 four-cylinder and the 6.7-litre PACCAR PX-7 six-cylinder engines. Thanks to new software and optimised heating and air management, maximum torque has been increased and is activated at a lower speed for both engines. New, faster rear axle ratios generate lower engine speeds. Together with the engine innovations, this results in fuel savings of up to 6%. There is a new version with the compact 3.8-litre PACCAR PX-4 four-cylinder engine.

The ideal base for anything to build on
With this modern, robust and lightweight chassis, the DAF LF makes no compromises when it comes to robustness and flexibility.
Fully optimized suspension
The new LF offers an extremely comfortable driving experience. The front suspension is fully optimised to provide the perfect balance between damping, lateral stability and rigidity. The front axles (from 3.6 to 7.5 tonnes) offer ample capacity to prevent overloading, which is important when reducing loads. And unrivalled manoeuvrability is due to the model having the smallest turning circle in this segment.
Even greater load capacity
The LF series already has the highest load capacity in its class, with a wide range of chassis lengths and wheelbases. In the New LF, the wheelbases extend to 6.90 metres. This results in possible load lengths of over 9 metres, making the range unique in its segment. The long wheelbases also mean that the vehicle can offer a fuel capacity of up to 1,240 litres, making it unique in its class. This gives the new LF a long operability range and allows the driver to stop for fuel where prices are lowest.
High bridgesperformance
With a choice of different rear axles and final drive assemblies, there is an LF model optimised for every application. The axles have been designed for top performance, long service life and maximum driving comfort: from the lightest 5-tonne SR 5.10 axle, to the 10-tonne SR1344 rear axle for extra capacity on the 19-tonne LF. A differential lock is available as an option for almost all axle variants — for maximum traction and vehicle control, whatever the circumstances.
