DAF Roadshow, at the 10th edition in Romania.

The official demo fleet of trucks of the manufacturer DAF, for 3 weeks, May 13-31, made a real tour de force through Romania, holding no less than five events, in different locations in the country.

A traditional event for EVW Holding, the DAF Roadshow has reached its 10th edition, thanks to the increased interest in DAF trucks. EVW Holding decided to be in close proximity to local users, partners and potential customers, presenting the new “Pure Excellence” truck range, as well as the significant improvements and benefits they offer, including: up to 7% reduction in fuel consumption, up to 200,000 km service interval, 100 kg more payload, increased driver comfort and increased safety.

The highlight was the test drive sessions with different configurations, allowing participants to see for themselves the increased comfort in the cabin, the quietness of the new engines, the maneuverability and robustness of these trucks. In each of the locations, 5 units were available for testing: DAF XF FT 530 D Super Space Cab with Krone semi-trailer • DAF XF FAR 450 with BDF superstructure • DAF CF FAD 480 Day Cab with KH Kipper tipper • DAF CF FAN 340 Space Cab with parts display superstructure • DAF LF FA 290 with Tal Techniek superstructure.

At the same time, the preliminary phases of the international competition “DAF Driver Challenge” were also held during the events, where over 60 competitors from Romania, passionate about DAF trucks, took a multiple-choice test with 55 questions. Based on the results obtained, the 5 finalists were chosen, who will compete for the title of “The Best Truck Driver” in Romania, in the National Final, organized in Gilau, June 13-14, 2019.” The most talented of the drivers will represent Romania at the international competition “DAF Driver Challenge”. Among the ride&drive sessions, networking with EVW Holding and DAF presenters, presentations and economic driving courses, customers were invited to participate in the raffle, the stake being an invitation to DAF Experience 2019, Sept. 18-20, Eindhoven-Netherlands.
