International recognition for "outstanding design and innovation"
The DAF CF and XF models have won the international “Good Design” award, in global recognition for their outstanding design and innovation. The distinction is awarded in the “Product Design Automotive and Transport” category by a jury of no less than 55 members of the Australian “Good Design Award” organization. DAF Trucks launched the new CF and XF series on the Australian market in March this year.
The Good Design Awards are held annually as one of the oldest and most prestigious international design and innovation awards, with the first edition taking place in 1958. Since the market launch of the current generation of LF, CF and XF models, DAF has collected awards after awards worldwide, including the renowned International Truck of the Year, Fleet Truck of the Year, Green Truck of the Year and Construction Truck of the Year.
"A positive impact on the company and the environment"
The Good Design jury praised the DAF CF and XF trucks: “These trucks set a new industry standard in terms of style, functionality, safety, sustainability and performance. Innovative thinking has led to the production of a truck that generates a positive impact on the end user, the company and the environment. The design is a skillful combination of style and aerodynamic elements, which, together with improvements to the powertrain, provides a vehicle that is greener for the environment, but with superior performance.”
"Sophistication and refinement"
In its verdict, the jury likened the truck’s interior design to that of a car. “This adds to the sophistication and refinement of the truck. It showcases the well-thought-out ergonomic layout, the customization opportunities, the durable materials used, as well as the superior noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) reduction qualities. These features fully ensure driver comfort.”

Record number of 835 registrants
