DAF launches the new XG and XG+ Electric
DAF is successfully expanding its electric vehicle range with the introduction of the new XG and XG+ Electric models. They share the same DNA as the XD and XF Electric, named “International Truck of the Year 2026”, thanks to their refined drive systems, advanced LFP battery technology and superior driving comfort. The new XG and XG+ Electric also stand out with the most spacious cabins available on the market.
DAF's range of fully electric trucks offers tailor-made solutions for any type of application.
The program includes the models XB Electric of 12, 16 and 19 tons for urban distribution.
XD Electric for urban and regional distribution, as well as XF Electric for longer distance transport.
NEW DAF XG and XG+ Electric take driver comfort to a higher level.
Their cabins are with 33 centimeters longer than the already generous ones of the XF model.
And in combination with the additional height it offers an unparalleled working, living and resting space, with a total volume of 12.5 m³ and an interior height of up to 2.2 meters.
The beds in the XG and XG+ cabins have an impressive width of 80 centimeters across, a level of comfort that has no equal on the market.
Powerful and refined propulsion system
The models XG and XG+ Electric are equipped with the most powerful electric motor PACCAR EX-D2.
It develops between 270 and 350 kW (370–480 hp) and a maximum torque of 2,400 Nm.
The compact propulsion unit consists of two separate electric motors.
Coupled to an integrated transmission with three steps, which ensures smooth gear changes and exceptional operating comfort.
Modular battery system for maximum flexibility
NEW DAF XG and XG+ Electric can be equipped with 3 to 5 battery packs.
Modularly mounted on the chassis, depending on the vehicle application.
The 5-pack battery configuration allows for a battery life of over 500 km without emissions on a single charge.
With optimal route and load planning, the XG and XG+ Electric models can cover over 1,000 km fully electric per day.
Making them very suitable for international use as well.

The aerodynamic shape of the cabin, almost seamless, with a curved windshield, contributes significantly to reducing drag.

Sustainability and durability
Like the other fully electric vehicles in the range, DAF equips the models XG and XG+ Electric with batteries State-of-the-art LFP.
They benefit from a eight-year warranty.
The batteries do not contain cobalt or nickel, have high thermal stability and can be charged daily up to 100% without affecting durability.
A three-battery pack configuration can be charged from 10% to 80% in just over 45 minutes.
Full package of support services
DAF supports the new models XG and XG+ Electric through a complete package of dedicated services.
This includes smart charging stations and energy storage systems provided by PACCAR Power Solutions.
Customized maintenance contracts through DAF MultiSupport, specific fleet management services through PACCAR Connect, as well as flexible financing solutions offered by PACCAR Financial.
NEW DAF XG and XG+ Electric are available in configuration 4×2 tractor and rigid chassis 6×2, with steering rear axle.
