Evw holding launches the new range of daf trucks, model 2017

September 19, Titi Aur Academy

Under the slogan "Pure Excellence", the launch and on-track testing of the new 2017 DAF XF and CF truck range took place on the track of the Titi Aur Academy autodrome. The event is part of the circuit that the official demo fleet of the Dutch manufacturer operates, to make known the significant improvements and benefits of this new model.

Over 200 customers, partners, suppliers and potential customers, as well as the specialized press, had the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of this new model, the significant improvements in comfort and efficiency, and to test them in various conditions that simulate real exploitation.

Among the major advances of this new model we mention: 7% reduction in fuel consumption, 100 kg more payload, and 200,000 km recommended service interval. Of course, these advances translate into reduced engine wear, fuel consumption, and maximized uptime, ultimately leading to significant cost savings for the truck owner. These promises from DAF come after extensive testing of the new truck model.

The new range was recently completed with the LF model, which benefits from all the improvements and advancements listed. Rigid vehicle configurations with 2, 3 and 4 axles were also announced, completing the commercial vehicle offer.

Throughout the day, test drive sessions were in high demand. Event attendees were eager to test the new demo vehicles. Two XF-SpaceCab and SuperSpaceCab trucks, with semi-trailers, were available on the asphalt circuit, and a CF tractor unit demonstrated its maneuverability on the track. Static displays of the 2017 and 2015 XF models were on display for comparison, allowing guests to see for themselves the significant improvements to cabin comfort, the dashboard, and the navigation systems.

In addition, to complete the test-drive offer, EVW Holding made available to participants, from its own fleet, a CF FAR 8×4 dump truck, model 2015, which underwent tests on the macadam circuit, and a VDL Futura coach.

The end of the day meant the awarding of the winners of the maneuverability contest, as well as an exceptional culinary show, offered outdoors by chef Adi Hădean, which concluded this "Pure Excellence" event.
