A great start for New Generation XF, XG and XG+ sales: First 1000 DAF New Generation trucks sold.
In less than a month since its official launch, DAF has already received over 1,000 customer orders for its New Generation XF, XG and XG+ trucks. The completely new range of long-haul vehicles will enter production in October and will set a new standard in terms of efficiency, safety and driver comfort.
On Wednesday, June 9, DAF presented its New Generation XF, XG and XG trucks.+, the first trucks on the market to fully benefit from the new European regulations on weights and dimensions. These allow truck cabs to be longer to achieve the highest levels of efficiency, safety and driver comfort.
Features such as optimum radii, a tapered cab design, a curved windscreen and a 16 cm extension at the front have resulted in industry-leading aerodynamics. This contributes to an impressive improvement in fuel efficiency of up to 10%, with similar reductions in CO2 emissions. Unrivalled safety is achieved through extremely low window lines and a side-view window for outstanding direct visibility, as well as features such as the new DAF Digital View System and DAF Corner View. Swivel seats, a fully digital instrument panel, a Relax bed and ambient interior lighting, not to mention the unprecedented dimensions of the interior space (12.5 m3 for XG+), all combine to provide unparalleled comfort to the driver.
In addition, the DAF New Generation trucks represent a completely new platform, ready for alternative battery electric and hydrogen powertrains that are currently being developed at DAF.
