ISUZU - Engine

Isuzu is a world leader in the production of diesel engines for commercial vehicles.

Isuzu is a world leader in the production of diesel engines for commercial vehicles, and its mission is to design effective and efficient engines. For centuries, Isuzu engines have been used around the world for a variety of purposes: from passenger cars to commercial vehicles, from ground vehicles to diesel engines for large ships, and from industrial elevators to electric units. All this experience is concentrated in the construction of new Isuzu engines. The variable geometry turbocharger has been completely redesigned, its dimensions have been optimized and overall efficiency has been increased. To provide maximum power, exhaust gas recirculation has been completely redesigned using a dual injection system, depending on the conditions of use of the vehicle. To increase efficiency, the piston design corresponds to the new design and the number of holes for the 4HK1 engine injectors has been increased. From now on, all engines will use 8-hole nozzles.

Particle filter

All Isuzu vehicles are equipped with a diesel particulate filter (DPD). The filter cleaning is fully automatic; if necessary, the filter can be cleaned manually using the appropriate button, provided that the vehicle is stationary.

Euro 5b+

Versions equipped with a new type of DPD filter, which works in the same way as the previous model, but is lighter and requires no maintenance.

Euro VI

Vehicles that meet the requirements of the Euro VI standard, together with the DPD filter and SCR technology (Selective Catalytic Reduction), which uses AdBlue® solution to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. The system automatically regulates the amount of AdBlue® injected so that AdBlue® consumption does not exceed 2% of fuel consumption. All SCR parts are cooled with antifreeze and after the engine is switched off, the remaining AdBlue® solution returns to the tank. Isuzu offers a complete range of Euro VI vehicles with SCR system and a load capacity from 3.5 tons to 12 tons. The SCR system is fully automatic. It only requires the addition of AdBlue® solution when the on-board computer signals you to do so. Vehicles equipped with SCR have higher efficiency and a minimum maintenance requirement: changing the AdBlue® filter every 200,000 km.
