Passive safety
The SRS passenger airbag (supplementary restraint system) is standard equipment on all models. It is activated after a frontal collision to protect the driver.
SRS Passenger Airbag – is standard equipment for Comfort Cab and optional for some Easy Cabs.
Seat belts with pre-loading devices – In the event of a frontal collision of a certain force, the belt tensioning system shortens its length immediately, keeping the occupant firmly in the seat.
Knee protection – the structure is designed to protect the front passenger's knees from injury.
Chassis and cabin – guarantee maximum passenger protection.
The SRS Airbag system will not be activated unless the frontal impact force reaches a certain specific value, or if there is a side impact, rear impact, vehicle rollover, and collision after activation.
The SRS airbag system is designed to supplement seat belts and does not provide maximum protection unless the driver or front passenger has their seat belt fastened.m
Active safety
Maximum visibility guaranteed:
• Halogen multi-reflector
• Daytime running lights on when all others are off
• Front/rear fog lights are standard
Disc brakes: front and rear – powerful and reliable braking thanks to self-ventilated brake discs with a diameter of up to 310 mm and a thickness of up to 42 mm. The disc shape is optimized to facilitate heat dissipation.
Braking system with ABS and EBD – The ABS system prevents the wheels from locking during braking; EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution) modulates the braking force depending on the load, preventing the wheels from locking in the event of gravel or slippery terrain.
ASR – traction control system – standard on all models, the ASR (Anti-Slip-Regulation) system prevents the wheels from spinning when starting off on surfaces without grip. ASR uses the ABS system to brake the wheel, which is spinning and prevents the vehicle from locking up on surfaces with poor grip such as mud, snow or ice. The electronic ASR system is the electronic equivalent of a self-locking differential.
PAB – greater safety even when braking with the new PAB (Power Assistant Brake) system. In the event of abnormal braking system behavior, the electronically controlled auxiliary pump integrated into the ABS control unit ensures an increase in pressure in the braking system, providing maximum stopping power.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) – standard on all models. The ESC (Electronic Stability Control) system ensures the ideal course in the event of loss of vehicle control, understeer, oversteer and rollover. Although ABS and ESC systems assist the driver and increase safety, they cannot compensate for irresponsible driving.
