Electric and hybrid buses are increasingly used in urban and regional transport
Electric and hybrid buses are increasingly used in urban and regional transport. These buses eliminate or reduce noise pollution and emissions, and due to their efficiency they are also very attractive from an operational point of view. We offer you the possibility to choose the option that suits you from a series of electric motors, batteries and charging systems, to obtain the ideal combination, regardless of the area of operation, without compromising on accessibility, interior appearance or comfort. Our goal is to transport passengers to their destinations not only in a quiet and environmentally friendly way, but also in comfort.
Perfect fit
The modular system allows any operator to assemble a Citea vehicle from the E-Worker range in an optimally customized way for the customer, depending on their operating requirements and wishes, achieving the perfect fit with the available infrastructure.
The basic module
The first module is the base vehicle: the decision involved here concerns capacity requirements and design.
Does a 12 m long version have enough space or would an articulated bus suit us better?
Should we choose a Citea with a standard design or go for the more futuristic version?
Motorization module
The second module is the motorization. At this point, the operator has the choice between an all-electric motorization or a hybrid. We have two all-electric motorization variants available: powertrain with a central electric motor or with electric motors integrated in the wheels.
Battery module
The third module is the battery. Battery technology is rapidly developing, generating multiple and diverse options. We closely monitor all developments in the field and collaborate with several battery and accumulator suppliers. Choosing the right battery depends on a number of factors such as weight, price, energy density, composition and lifespan. Another very important aspect to take into account is the duration of the battery's discharge and charge. The choice of the type of technology used in the manufacture of the battery, as well as its size, depends on the operating profile of the bus.
Charging module
The fourth module is the charging system. The vehicles in the Citea E-Worker range can be equipped with various charging systems. Depending on the system chosen, the bus can charge slowly (Slow Charging) or quickly (Timely Charging).
Slow charging: via a Combo2 plug socket or pantograph.
Convenient charging: via a pantograph or robotic connector.
Thanks to its zero emissions, the Citea electric bus can even stop at indoor stations, such as a bus stop inside a train station. Thanks to the start-stop system, the Citea hybrids can be driven entirely electrically, making them as quiet as our electric vehicles. Our passengers are also enthusiastic about the level of comfort provided by the design of the means of transport of the future. This starts with the particularly convenient boarding and lighting and certainly does not end with the spacious interior…
The Citea is even more modern with its futuristic design. It not only demonstrates potential from a technical point of view, but also impresses visually. Thus, the bus is at the same time an attractive and future-oriented transport solution.
