An optimal combination of power and efficiency
The LF-series for Euro 6 is available with the new four- or six-cylinder PACCAR PX-engines, offering a wide variety of possible power outputs, gearboxes and rear axle reductions. Thanks to this extensive range, there is a perfect driveline for each application. All of the new Euro 6 drivelines guarantee an optimal combination of power and efficiency. New in this generation of engines is the manual gearbox with nine gears and the new SR 1339 rear axle for the heaviest transport applications.

Maximum space on the frame
There is a tailor-made LF for each application. The LF is available in the following versions : truck with 2 axles, truck or tractor with 3 axles, with a steering trailing axle and various wheel bases. The lay-out of the chassis and the position of the components are devised for low kerb weights and maximum space on the frame.

The LF is available with a practical day cab, a sleeper cab or a spacious Space Cab
Tailor-made LF's offer a wide variety of PTO's.
The chassis of the LF is made of high-quality steel, resulting in an extremely strong though light vehicle for maximum payload capacities. The chassis is completely flat, which ensures bodybuilder friendliness. In order to simplify the life of the bodybuilder, the mounting holes to fix the superstructure have already been drilled into the chassis beams. Mounting brackets are available as an option.
Vehicles in the class of the DAF LF45 en LF55 are deployed for very diverse applications and often require PTO’s. Superstructures like a refrigerated body, a tipper or a crane can be built upon the chassis. Tailor-made LF’s offer a wide variety of PTO’s.

The dashboard is both attractive and comprehensively equipped, offering maximum ease of use. All controls are within easy reach and arranged logically by function. And the extra-large capacity of the heating and ventilation system means the interior can quickly be brought to the ideal temperature. Perfect when drivers get in and out of the cab many times a day.
Powerful engines
The DAF offers a wide range of engines. These include the powerful four-cylinder 4.5-litre PACCAR PX-5 and the six-cylinder 6.7-litre PACCAR PX-7. Thanks to new software and optimised heat and air management, maximum torque has been increased and kicks in at lower speed in both engines.
Faster rear axle ratios
Taking advantage of the new faster rear axle ratios of up to 3.31:1, engine speeds are reduced by 150 to 200 rpm at cruising speed. Combined with the engine innovations, this driveline optimization delivers fuel savings of up to 6%, while driver comfort is further improved by lower engine noise.

Fully optimised suspension
The DAF LF offers an extremely comfortable driving experience. The front suspension is fully optimised to offer the perfect balance between damping, lateral stability and stiffness. The front axles (from 3.6 to 7.5 tonnes) offer ample capacity to prevent overloading with diminishing loads. And its unsurpassed manoeuvrability is due to the fact that it has the smallest turning circle in this segment.
Even greater load capacity
The LF has the largest load capacity in its class thanks to a wide range of chassis lengths and wheel bases. In the DAF LF, wheel bases extend up to 6.90 metres. This results in possible load lengths of over 9 metres giving the truck even greater load capacity. Longer wheel bases also mean the vehicle can provide fuel capacity of up to 1,240 litres making it unique in its class. This gives the DAF LF a large operation range and enables the driver to stop for fuel where prices are at their lowest.
High-performance axles
With a choice of different rear axles and final drive assemblies, there is an optimised LF for every application. The axles have been developed with top performance, long service life and maximum driving comfort in mind: from the lightest, 5-tonnes SR 5.10 axle to the 13-tonnes SR1344 rear axle for extra capacity on the 19-tonnes LF. A differential lock is available as an option on almost all axle variants — for maximum traction and vehicle control, whatever the circumstances.
