ISUZU - Engine

Isuzu is a world leader in the production of diesel engines for commercial vehicles.

Isuzu is a world leader in the production of diesel engines for commercial vehicles, and its mission is to design effective and efficient engines. For decades Isuzu engines have been used worldwide for a variety of purposes: from passenger cars to commercial vehicles, from ground machines to large diesel ship engines and from industrial elevators to electric units… All the experience is concentrated in the construction of the new Isuzu engines. Turbocharger with variable geometry was completely re-designed, its dimensions were optimized and its overall effectiveness was increased. In order to provide maximum power, exhaust gas recycling was completely re-designed using a dual injection system, depending on the conditions of vehicle use. To increase efficiency, the design of the pistons complies with the new project and the number of openings for 4HK1 engine injectors was increased. From now on all engines will use jets with 8 openings.

Particle filter

All Isuzu vehicles are equipped with a filter (DPD) of exhaust solid particulates. Cleaning of the filter is fully automatic; if necessary, the filter can be manually cleaned using the appropriate button, provided that the vehicle is stationary.

Euro 5 b+

Versions equipped with a new type of DPD filter, which works the same way as the previous model, but has a lower weight and requires no maintenance.

Euro VI

Vehicles that meet the requirements of the Euro 6 standard, use in conjunction with DPD filter also SCR technology (Selective Catalytic Reduction), which uses AdBlue® solution to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. The system automatically regulates the injected amount of AdBlue® so that the AdBlue® consumption does not exceed 2% of fuel consumption. All SCR parts are tempered with a coolant and after the engine is shut down, the remaining AdBlue® solution returns back from the pipe into the tank. Isuzu offers a complete range of Euro VI vehicles with SCR system with a load capacity from 3.5 tons to 12 tons. The SCR system is fully automatic. It only requires adding AdBlue® solution when the board computer gives a signal. SCR equipped vehicles have a higher efficiency and minimum maintenance requirements: AdBlue® filter change every 200,000 km.
